LEARNING OUTCOMES

Fluids and electrolytes are essential in intensive care units. The calculation of the doses must be very precise and nurses must know how to administer and calculate those dosages, in order to avoid possible medical faults. The nurse will learn how to administer potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, crystalloids, colloids and blood transfusions to neonates.
