The cardiovascular system of the newborn is very different compared to the intrauterine period and during this shift period many morbidities occur. The nurses will learn the pathophysiology and management of patent ductus arteriosus, arrhythmias, congenital heart diseases, hypo, hyper -tension, cyanosis and pulmonary hypertension.They will also learn the skill of catheterization of different vessels on neonates, such as peripheral veins, umbilical vessels and placing a PICC line.
