Nursing Neurological Neonatal Care

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The neonate’s neurological system is very sensitive and often the neonates that are discharged from NICUs have neurological deficits. The nurses will know about common morbidities such as intraventricular hemorrhage, convulsions and how to properly examine the neurological system, follow up the neurodevelopmental statue and recognize deficits. They will also learn about the NIDCAP, which is an innovative healthcare program, and the cooling technique.
