Nursing Gastrointestinal Neonatal Care

LEARNING OUTCOMES

The nurse will gain knowledge about the most common morbidities of the gastrointestinal system, such as necrotizing enterocolitis, esophagus atresia, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, abdominal distension, anal atresia and other pediatric surgical malformations. In this way she will be able to estimate this system and inform doctors. The students will also learn about the management of hyperbilirubinemia, which is a common condition in neonatology.
